This Month at NAMI

NAMI meets every month to hear local speakers, get answers to questions, share stories and find support. The featured presentation begins at 7:30 PM.  If you're new to our group, please come at 7:00 PM to learn more about us. FAMILY-TO-FAMILY CLASSES

New Family-to-Family classes are currently forming.

The NAMI Family-to-Family Education Program has been cited as a “best practice in recovery” by the Ohio Department of Mental Health. This 12-week course is for families and friends of persons with mental illness. The course is taught by trained family members. All course materials are furnished at no cost to you.

Hand-to-Hand Classes

Hand-to-Hand is a nine week education program designed to foster learning, healing and empowerment among parents and families of children with emotional-mental-neurobiological disorders. Follow this link for more information about Hand-to-Hand.

Peer-to-Peer Classes

Peer-to-Peer is a unique, experiential learning program for people with any serious mental illness who are interested in establishing and maintaining their wellness and recovery. Peer-to-Peer consists of nine two-hour units and is taught by a team of three trained “Mentors” who are personally experienced at living well with mental illness. NAMI Hamilton County is a grass-roots education, support and advocacy organization founded in 1979. Our mission is to offer hope and help to all affected by mental illness. We offer educational programs, support groups and phone support. We also advocate for better services, legislative changes, and increased research on mental illnesses. We work together with our national organization NAMI and our state affiliate NAMI Ohio.
