NAMI-HC members participate in many local support groups for family members

Social/Support Time
Immediately preceding the monthly NAMI
meeting. Third Monday of each month, 7 PM, at NAMI of Hamilton County, 3805 Edwards Road, 5th floor,
Cincinnati OH 45209.
Facilitated by experienced NAMI members. Meets the first Sunday of each
month, 12:15 PM at Church of the Savior United Methodist Church, 8005 Pfeiffer
Rd. Cincinnati OH 45242.
Parent Support Group
For parents/caregivers of children (under the age of 18) with serious
emotional disorders/biological brain disorders/mental illnesses; facilitated by
Carin Ives, experienced and trained parent; meets the first Saturday of the
month,1 - 2:30 PM, at Children's Hospital/ College Hill Campus, 5642 Hamilton
Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45224
Family Support Group at Summit Behavioral Healthcare
For family members/friends who have a loved one with a mental illness/brain
disorder living in the community and/or at Summit Behavioral Health; facilitated
by a SBH mental health professional; meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, 5 –
6:30 PM, at Summit Behavioral Healthcare (Administration Bldg in the Fiscal
Conference Room), 1101 Summit Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45237.
H.E.L.P. (Helping Everyone Live Positively)
A support group for young adults ( ages 18 - 30) who are learning to cope
with mental health issues; meets every Thursday, 6:30 to 7:30 PM, at St. Monica
- St. George Church (Living Room or Library, Second Floor). 328 W. McMillan,
Cincinnati, OH 45219; the Catholic Center and parking area are located behind
the church.
Family Support Group
This group is intended for family
members and friends who are concerned about a person with a mental
illness. Many of our Family to Family program
graduates also attend this group.
The Family Support Group meets at the Health Foundation on the third Monday
of the month from 6:00 - 7:00 PM prior to the
NAMI HC general meeting. (Meets on the 4th Monday in January and February). Location: NAMI of Hamilton County, 3805 Edwards Road,
