NAMI-HC members participate in many local support groups for family members
and persons with mental illnesses.
Social/Support Time
Immediately preceding the monthly NAMI
meeting. Third Monday of each month, 7 PM, at NAMI of Hamilton County, 3805 Edwards Road, 5th floor,
Cincinnati OH 45209.
Facilitated by experienced NAMI members. Meets the first Sunday of each
month, 12:15 PM at Church of the Savior United Methodist Church, 8005 Pfeiffer
Rd. Cincinnati OH 45242.
Forensic Support Group
For anyone coping with a loved one who is in the criminal justice system.
Meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 5 PM, in the Fiscal Conference Room
of Summit Behavioral Healthcare, 1101 Summit Rd. Cincinnati OH 45237.
Parent Support Group
For parents/caregivers of children with serious emotional disorders or a
diagnosis/symptoms of mental illness. Meets the first Saturday of the month
1-2:30 PM at Children's Hospital College Hill Campus, 5642 Hamilton Ave.
Cincinnati OH 45224. Facilitated by Pam Mattson and Barb Berning, experienced and trained NAMI
members/parents.
SAMI Support Group
For any family member coping with a loved one with both a mental illness and
substance abuse disorder. Meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month, 5-6:30 PM in the
Fiscal Conference Room of Summit Behavioral Healthcare, 1101 Summit Rd.
Cincinnati OH 45237.
H.E.L.P. (Helping Everyone Live Positively)
A support group for young adults (18-30) who are learning to cope with mental
health issues. Meets every Thursday, 6:30 to 8:00
pm, at St. Monica - St. George Church (Blue Room of the Catholic Center), 328 W.
McMillan, Cincinnati OH 45219. The Catholic Center and parking area are on the

F2F (Family-to-Family) Support Group
This group is intended for family
members who are graduates of the Family to Family Education Program, as well as
others in the community who are concerned about a loved one with a mental
illness.
Beginning April, 2007, the Family-to-Family Support Group will meet at the
Health Foundation on the third Monday of the month from 6:00 - 7:15 prior to the
NAMI HC general meeting. (Meets on the 4th Monday in January and February). Location: NAMI of Hamilton County, 3805 Edwards Road,
