Help support people with mental illness and their families

LENS

LENS is a support and learning group for individuals and families desiring to learn and share about issues of mental illness. LENS is supported by Church of the Saviour United Methodist. LENS meets the first Sunday of each month, from 12:15 to 1:30 PM at Church of the Saviour, 8005 Pfeiffer Rd, Montgomery. Link to Map and Directions.

LENS is an acronym for the four pillars of supporting the group purpose:

• Listening
• Educating
• Networking
• Support

Who might be interested in LENS?

Anyone who . .

• is personally having disordered thoughts or feelings or knows someone who is

• has a family member or friend dealing with a behavioral disturbance
• has an interest in learning more about mental illness
• is willing to contribute their compassion and knowledge to help others who are struggling

Family members need to seek help as well as the person with a mental illness.  The entire family is affected.
